Welcome
hi, i’m kim
I believe your home should be a place that feels calm, lived-in, and uniquely you—beautifully decorated, functional, and free of the clutter that weighs you down. Whether you’re diving into a DIY project, refreshing a room, or bringing life to a corner with a new plant, I’m here to inspire you to create a home that truly works for your family.
Years ago, we lived in an 880 sq ft, 2-bedroom house—minimalist in size, but not in stuff. With a new baby and bins of decor and gear piling up, I learned the hard way how overwhelming “stuff” can be. That experience sparked my love for simplified living, cozy DIY touches, and relaxed coastal-boho style.
Think of this space as your go-to for doable projects, calming home vibes, and real-life tips to help you love where you live—without the chaos.

Where this all began
After 24 area rugs, 3 kids, and 4 kitchen islands, I’ve finally found my groove—learning what’s worth investing in, how to repurpose what you already have, and how to bring function, beauty, and calm to a home. With Andrew, we’ve DIYed our way through two house renovations, and I’ve discovered my personal style, and embraced the power of simplifying.
As an avid beach bum, my inspiration is rooted in the laid-back, breezy vibe of beach living—think relaxed, textured, calming, sun-soaked spaces that feel lived-in and loved.
This blog is a collection of everything we’ve learned along the way: how we turned a chaotic mix of rugs, lamps, salvage doors, antique windows, and endless paint samples into a minimalist-ish home that truly serves our family. My hope is to inspire you to do the same—DIY your way to a home that’s both beautiful and easy to live in.
